The Battery Assurance Program includes a list of lithium-based batteries (energy storage devices) that meet industry best practice requirements.
The list includes lithium-based battery system (BS) and battery energy storage system (BESS) products that meet the Australian or international version of the lithium battery safety standard 62619:2017.
After noting the lack of product safety standards in Australia for battery storage systems, the industry came together to develop an agreed minimum standard to work to.
